Aurora Sussex Home Care was founded in Calgary by a public health professional who kept seeing the same gap: families forced to choose between an affordable companion who couldn't manage medical needs, and a facility that took their loved one from home. We built the option in between — clinically supervised care, delivered at home, by people we would trust with our own parents. We're local and independent: no franchise, no distant head office. Just clinically led home care for Calgary families.

A public health professional with direct experience inside the Alberta health system leads our operations, regulatory compliance, client intake and referral partnerships. Our infection-prevention, risk-management and safety standards come from public-health training — not a franchise manual. A Registered Nurse holds clinical accountability for every care plan: initial assessments and reassessments, delegation and supervision of Health Care Aides, medication oversight and clinical escalation. That RN oversight is why we can care for clients other agencies decline.
