Who We Are
Aurora Sussex was founded in Calgary by Eric and Esther Ile after they kept seeing the same gap: families forced to choose between a companion who was affordable but couldn’t manage their loved one’s medical needs, and a residential facility that provided clinical oversight but took them from home. We built the option that didn’t exist.
Eric brings a background in public health with direct experience inside the Alberta health system. The agency’s infection prevention, risk management and safety standards come from that public health training — not a franchise manual. Esther is an active Registered Nurse, registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta, who holds clinical accountability for every care plan: initial assessments, supervision of Health Care Aides, medication oversight and clinical escalation.
Aurora Sussex is local and independent. No franchise, no distant head office. Just clinically supervised home care for Calgary families — delivered by people who would trust the same caregivers with their own parents.
